We strive to increase productivity while reducing agricultural land use.

Our feedlots have the capacity to fatten 60,000 heads of cattle per year on just 20 hectares, which is only 0.05% of the grazing area that would normally be required.

Additionally, through our permanent training, outreach, and bovine fertility diagnostics program, we promote increased productivity on farms across the country.

We support over 2,000 Nicaraguan ranchers, aiming to optimize resources and reduce the expansion of the Agricultural Frontier—raising the same number of cattle in a smaller space.

Sustainable Land Management Combines:

  • Mantener y mejoraMaintaining and improving production (productivity).
  • Reducing production risks and enhancing the soil’s ability to buffer degradation processes.
  • Protecting natural resources and preventing soil and water quality degradation.
  • Ensuring economic viability.
  • Being socially acceptable and ensuring access to the benefits of better land management.

CARNES SAN MARTÍN AND ITS CONTRIBUTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

At Carnes San Martín, our investments in sustainability research and development aim to enhance both the short-term and long-term sustainability of the natural environment.

The successful adaptation and prosperity of San Martín’s livestock and red meat industry rely on efficient land management investments.

Regulations, market demands, and community expectations require all sectors of the value chain to continuously adapt to the evolving operating environment.

Whether you purchase a whole, half, or quarter portion it is important to know where the meat is located on the animal.

Industrial Plant Activities That Contribute to Soil Conservation:

  • Reduction and inhibition of methane emissions
  • Grazing systems incorporating climate-resistant pastures
  • Innovative supplements to reduce enteric methane emissions and improve productivity
  • Partnership with Nicaragua’s environmental protection initiative, respecting protected areas and indigenous communities
  • Recycling of organic waste

At Carnes San Martín, we take pride in offering products from humanely raised livestock in natural and sustainable farms. This sustainable environment is an integral part of our commitment to providing the highest quality protein products.
